Windows Communication Application
windowphone Pro is a Window application that runs on all 32-bit Windows operating systems. Just as the browser provides access to internet services, the softphone gives you access to your telephone service.
 
Anywhere, Anytime Office Telephone
The office telephone line can be accessed from anywhere with IP-network connection to the enterprise. Users can receive and make calls on their office number from any location.
 
Supports Multiple Network Configurations
windowphone Pro utilizes the networking capabilities of the PC including wireline and wireless LANs, Broadband connections like DSL/Cable Modem and Dial-Up connections.
 
Supports VPN Connections
The Softphone is designed to operate over VPN (Virtual Private Network) connections that provide secure access to the enterprise network. Using such VPN connections, the softphone can operate across the NAT/Firewalls between service providers.
 
Automatic Network/Bandwidth Detection
The Softphone can automatically detect the network with the gateway and detect the bandwidth available on that connection for optimal parameter settings.
 
Range of Audio Communication Devices
In addition to headsets, the windowphone Pro supports a range of USB audio devices such as the handset, keypad, and adapter for analog telephone.
 
Installation and Setup Wizards
The softphone wizards simplify the installation and configuration by taking the users step-by-step through the setup processes.
 
Mouse and Keyboard Access
The Softphone can be operated from the keyboard using the shortcut keys or by clicking with the mouse.

The windowphone Pro is compatible with the National ISDN service from #5ESS, DMS-100 and GTD5.

The Softphone can automatically detect the SPID provisioned for the line.

The windowphone Pro look and feel is customizable by the selection of different skins. The skins can be downloaded and changed on demand.
 
Downloadable Ring Tones
The windowphone Pro can play customizable ring tones. These ring tones can be downloaded from the web site.
 
Distinctive Ringing
User can select the ringing tone to be played for incoming calls.
 
Automatic Software Update
The update service can be on-demand or scheduled to check the web site for a later version of the software. If a new version is available, the user can download and update the files.
 
Quality of Service
The Softphone supports DiffServ and TOS tagging of the VoIP packets such that the network can give these packets the required priority through the different routers and gateways.
 
Access Security
The Softphone supports H235 access security. This provides secure authentication of the endpoint connecting to the gateway.
 
Multiple Codec Choices
The Softphone supports multiple codec's and packetization rates. The selection of the codec and rate is based on the user's bandwidth selection and also settled during connection setup.
 
Speaker and Microphone Volume Control
The Softphone provides controls for setting the microphone and speaker volume levels. The slider controls or the arrow keys on the keyboard can raise or lower the settings.
 
Multi-Line National ISDN Telephone
The windowphone Pro provides the functionality of a multi-line National ISDN EKTS telephone. It can be a six, ten, or eighteen button telephone on the PC.
 
Multiple/Shared Call Appearances
The Softphone can be provisioned for multiple call appearances of a directory number and for sharing appearances of other directory numbers on softphone buttons.
 
Multi-Function Buttons for Lines/Features
The Multi-Function Buttons of the Softphone can be provisioned on the switch for call appearances and feature access. Depending on the customizable skin, there can be six, ten, or eighteen multi-function buttons.
 
Fixed Function Keys for Common Features
The Softphone provides seven fixed function buttons for frequently used features. These include Transfer, Conference, Hold, Drop, Mute, Redial and the hook-switch.
 
Dial from Any Windows Application
Highlight a number in any Windows application and click on the telephone icon in the system tray to auto-dial the number through the softphone.
 
Call Information Display
The Softphone has a multi-line display for calling number and caller name. The display uses icons to indicate line state - like ringing, idle and connected. Information on the waiting calls is also displayed in this window.
 
Multiple Alerting Indications
windowphone Pro provides options for popping up the phone window on incoming calls and a choice of alerting devices for playing the ringing tones.
 
Call Logs
All calls handled by the Softphone are logged to a file. The calls detailed are viewed through a browser window. Data can be sorted by call type (incoming, outgoing or missed), by date and time or by the calling numbers.
 
Speed Dial
The softphone provides a 50-entry speed dial list. Clicking on the Speed Dial button brings up the speed dial list. The numbers are auto-dialed when an entry is selected.
 
Redial
The last number dialed is saved and can be auto-dialed by clicking on the Redial button.
 
Line Preference Choices
The Line Preference determines if a ringing or idle call appearance is selected when the user goes of-hook.
 
Mute
The Mute option cuts off sending of any audio to the caller. The indicator light on the button is lit when the iCallManager is in the Mute state.
 
Hold
Hold is a local feature in which the connection is maintained but audio is not send or played. Caller and called parties hear silence.
 
Centrex Dial Plans
The Softphone follows the specified Centrex dialing plan when auto-dialing numbers. It can insert long distance access codes and strip digits for internal numbers as necessary.
