iCollabra TalkGroup

  TalkGroups including Push-to-Talk (PTT) and Open-Mike (Hoot-n-Holler) allow people that need to collaborate together, to do it faster and more effectively. iCollabra TalkGroups is a powerful communication medium that provides presence, group instant text messaging and voice sharing with anyone in the organization at a fraction of the time (and a fraction of the cost).

Administrators and users can setup entire departments, group of co-workers or friends and by pushing a button, everyone in the 'TalkGroup' can simultaneously and immediately hear the voice. These TalkGroups can be used in a number of different ways:

  • Collaboration between ad-hoc workgroups and project teams that can span the entire organization.
  • Departmental briefings and company meetings can be audio and/or video cast for people to participate from their desktop.
  • Broadcast of Audio/Video training materials for access across the organization.
  • Piping video feeds to the security teams or workgroups.
  • Intercom and paging to individuals and groups
  • Distributed paging across multiple buildings regardless of their geographic location
 
Web-based Access to iCollabra TalkGroups
Users can access iCollabra TalkGroups from Web-browsers and from within Outlook. After they have logged-in they can listen to the voice transactions, speak instantaneously to the desired groups, interact directly with specific person either in voice or text messages. Web browser interface provides ubiquitous access to the TalkGroups services from any desktop within or outside the organization.
 
Leverages Existing Network Infrastructure
iCollabra TalkGroups leverages the existing networking infrastructure already in place in organizations. It is a software service that is available from any desktop. The administrative and access functions can be subscribed as a hosted service or setup internally on one of the organization's servers.
 
Group-wide and Individual Messaging
iCollabra provides both instantaneous group-wide messaging and individual point-to-point messaging. This allows users to be in touch with one or more groups while still having the ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis.
 
Send Text or Voice with Instant Multi-Media Messaging
With iCollabra users can interact with both text and voice messages. For example, when you need information while on a call, a quick instant text message can get you the required data. In other situations, a short voice message might be a faster, like a group or personal intercom. And at any time you can mute the audio channels, to avoid interruptions.
 
Know Who is Available with Presence
The integrated presence information can let you know if anyone is there to respond to your voice message. You can directly call, instant text or voice message to that person by clicking on a button.
 
Industry-Standard Enables Open Interfaces
iCollabra solutions are based on Open Industry standards to allow easy integration with third party gateways, IP-phones and IP-PBXs.
 
Enterprise Level Scalability Peer-to-Peer Architecture
The TalkGroups service uses a peer-to-peer architecture that allows TalkGroups to support arbitrarily large numbers of users.
 
PSTN and VoIP Integration
TalkGroups participants can include telephone and cellphones dialed in thorough gateways and IP-Phones through VoIP connections. This provides great flexibility to workgroups enabling them to have non-employees and remote workers joined into an effective collaborative team.
 
Flexible, Dynamic TalkGroup Setup
TalkGroups can be setup dynamically by administrators and users from web browsers. Users can be added and removed from the groups and access rights can be changed on the fly.
 
One Touch Recording
The TalkGroups users and administrators can setup voice recordings of all transactions on particular TalkGroups. The voice data is stored as highly compressed files that can be stored on the network and accessed from the browser interface.
 
Multiple Layers of Security
iCollabra supports multiple levels of security. Access controls can determine who can talk and listen on specific TalkGroups. In addition the administrator can establish encryption on the media to further secure sensitive connections.
